Following his appearance at the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, where he was named Best New Face, DJ got a deal with CBS to co-create and star in a pilot based on his stand-up.   Life with David J was filmed at CBS Radford in April 2001.

Since then, DJ has continued to act.  He was a regular on the Jamie Kennedy Experiment.  He played Tony the delivery guy on CBS's Out of Practice.  He has also done many national TV commercials, including a multi-spot ad campaign for Prestone in which he starred opposite Gillian Barberi.
